Well this was a very busy week for Rory. We drove down to North Carloina on Wednesday and she did so good on the 6 hour car ride. She took a nap, hung out and watched Madagascar on the way down. While she was watching Madagascar she was making animal noises, naming what they were and laughing througout the movie. I think that is now her favorite movie.
Thanksgiving day Danny, Aurora and I went to the airport to pick up her Grandma and Grandpa. Luckily she napped the whole way there because traffic was horrible and she was in a great mood when they got in the car!!! She had so much fun running around the house and playing with maddy and gb(big dogs). Not to mention the constant attention she was getting from her Grandma, Grandpa, Memaw, Grandad, Aunt Barbara, Aunt Joan, David, Uncle Richard and Lisa. She sat at the table with us during dinner but only ate mac n cheese and bread. She liked the macaroni so much she was trying to eat it straight out of the dish. David was teaching her how to wink but she would just blink. Very cute though watching her try. It was cute when her Aunt Joan would ask for a hug or kiss she would say yea and then run away. She was acting like it was a game.
On Friday we went to a place called Lazy 5. It is an animal park that you drive through or ride on a wagon to see all the animals. It is Safari style so the animals all run free and come up to the wagon so that you can feed them. She really enjoyed it. Her Grandpa was the only person who got the Giraffe to eat out of his bucket. She loved the swings and going down the slides. Rory got really excited when she saw a duck up close but it was not to friendly and bit her daddy, grandpa and HER. She didn't cry or anything. When we were getting ready to leave she was standing at the fence looking at an emu and that bit her too. Apparently her and birds do not go well together.
On Saturday we got to test out her Jeep Power Wheel (early xmas present from the grandparents). She likes sitting in it but is a little unsure of it when it is going. She did ok pressing the "gas" by herself but does not know how to steer yet. She went on walks with her grandma and played chalk outside until it started raining. She spent a lot of time playing in the leaves, running around the backyard, playing cash register and playing the organ with her Memaw. The highlight of the weekend was her playing in the leaves. There were huge piles of leaves and she kept going straight to them, sitting in them and laughing really hard when leavea were dropped on her head. Saturday night we went to a surprise party for her Aunt Barbara. She was hamming it up for the guests, kept going to her Aunt Barbara and saying Barbara. As a special treat she got to eat some frosting off of the cake.
We left early Sunday morning to try and beat traffic, it didn't work. What should have taken 6 hours took around 8. When we left that morning it was raining so it was the perfect oppurtunity to try out her new rain coat and hat and to take some cute pics.
