We had some nice weather a couple weekends ago so we drove the Shenandoah to a easy hike and have a picnic. Aurora liked walking through the woods but was easliy distracted and had to stand on every tree log and sing, "I like chipmunks, I like chipmunks, how about you?" That made the trail seem very long, she also wanted to stop at almost every bench along the way. We started telling her that if we didnt hurry up that the baby bear would come and get us, so we turned it into a game and would "hide" from the bear as we went and when she would "see" him she would run and yell baby bear is going to get me.

Shenandoah National Park
We had some nice weather a couple weekends ago so we drove the Shenandoah to a easy hike and have a picnic. Disney on Ice
We took Aurora to Disney on Ice Celebrations. Since she is obsessed with disney and all things princess we thought she would enjoy it. We were right. She did so good throughout the whole show and had a big smail the entire time. Her favorite parts were the unbirthday party and minnie mouse as a princess. The show was good and I definitley would like to take her again next year.
Her first pet
Halloween 2009
We did pumpkin carving a few days before Halloween and Rory actually had a lot of fun doing it this year. At first she did not want to touch the "pumpkin guts" but got over it pretty quickly. After that she wanted to carve her own and dig out the guts with a spoon. So cut open one of her baby pumpkins and let her draw all over it and make a mess with it. For actual halloween kristin came and visited us for the weekend. It was a nice visit but very short. Aurora had a lot of fun with her and was making her hold her candy bucket while trick or treating and didnt want us to go with her up to the doors. She did really great this year and got a ton of candy and lasted for about 2 hours. She even went up to some doors "by herself".
Big Girl Room
We finally finished Aurora's big girl room. We let her pick out the colors and she picked light purple and dark purple. Danny did a great job painting the room. We got her new furniture since hers is going to be used for Mason. She loves her big girl room. We have a few things that need to be hung on the wall but other then that its done. O yea and we painted a chlakboard on the wall behind the door.
Feeding the Ducks
There is a duck pond that is about a 10 minute walk from our house that Danny likes to take Aurora to. We went as a family and fed the ducks. Here are some pics. Also there is a bridge you have to cross that she calls the troll bridge, in order to walk across it you have to answer 2 questions she asks you. It's adorable.
